Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Pt 2 Breaks $1 Billion At The Box Office
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has exceeded $1 Billion in sales at the box offices worldwide. The film collected a whopping $43.7 Million in 26 countries outside the US on its first day alone and has now surpassed the epic $1 Billion mark. It is the first installment of the Harry Potter movie series to reach that coveted milestone. The first Harry Potter movie released in 2001, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (released as Philosopher’s Stone in the US) earned a total revenue of $975 million. James Cameron’s Avatar released in 2009 still holds the current worldwide box office record of $2.8 Billion. Deathly Hallows Part 2 is expected to surpass Pirates of the Caribbean and The Fountain of Youth soon, which is this year’s highest grossing film with $1.04 Billion in box office earnings.
